At Hearts & Horses Therapeutic Riding Center, our mission is to enhance physical, cognitive and emotional wellbeing through equine partnerships.
Who We Are
Hearts & Horses, a nonprofit therapeutic riding facility nestled in the foothills of Northern Colorado, has been changing lives for people with disabilities since 1997. We offer equine-assisted services to meet the needs of a huge cross-section of our community, including children and adults with physical and cognitive disabilities, youth at-risk, individuals with dementia, and Veterans. We currently serve more than 650 participants annually and run one of the largest volunteer programs in Larimer County.
Our accomplishments are possible given our unwavering commitment to excellence, innovative therapeutic services, research collaborations, outstanding volunteer programs, and community partnerships. One of the cornerstones of our success has been tailoring our therapeutic activities to meet individual participant needs.
We are a premier accredited member of the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International (Path Intl) – the highest level of accreditation possible – and a highly regarded training facility for therapeutic riding instructors. Our reputation for excellence has put us at the forefront of our field and made us an industry leader in program development and research.
